Spyderco Endura4 Any Good?

Love everything about mine except the saber-grind; struggles to push-cut newspaper even when it's hair-popping sharp. If anyone else is considering buying one, I'd definitely recommend going for one of the FFG models.

I prefer the saber because of it's stouter tip and I don't push cut paper in the real world every day,

Wonderful long edge,
barebones, FFG blade with distal taper.
lightweight yet sturdy, flat profile handle that's still comfortable and secure in the hand + excellent midlock construction.

One of my favorites.

I have two Enduras and a single Delica. Should tell you something... value. But I prefer the Delica for carry. For kitchen type things, definitely the Endura. I would also get the full flat ground (FFG) at this point.

Let's see if we can get the hold outs off the fence.

I dont own an endura but do own two delicas and a dragonfly, all in the same family (now that I think about it, I kind of need to pick up an endura :p). My answer is if you are considering it... Just buy it. haha
These things are tough as nails. IF the blade will break before the lock gives out trust me. Expect a SLIGHT bit of up and down play though. It is very minimal, Im a blade play freak and it does not really bother me, its basically just a slight flex in the mechanism, I have put a fair amount of negative force on my delica with nothing close a failure.
My delica is my best cutting knife, outside my traditionals or knives I have made myself, but its still pretty dang close.

True, that. I don't either, it's just that when I watch sharpening videos and they demonstrate the sharpness at the end, my hands get itchy. With actual use, I do admit my saber-ground E4 has always been up to the task.

The endura used to be my favorite seki made knife; until I discovered the Stretch, which is way more useful to me. Have not yet tried the stretch2.
