I've never been to the Spyderco Outlet and I have zero experience with this particular lubricant.
So the only input I have to offer here is advice on how to properly craft a forum topic for maximum response.

Since you admittedly have no dog in this fight, your actions are considered by most as "trolling" and that is frowned upon here.
 
Militech used to be the Benchmade recommended lube...until they came out with their blue lube...maybe it's militech with color :) I've used it for years with no problems.
