Yes, lots of forumites from the Golden area(and beyond) have made the pilgrimage to Spyder Mecca;) I have not unfortunately.:(

Yes, to both questions I believe. There are often factory seconds that can be gotten for great deals, and I believe the rest is sold at MSRP. The thing about the SFO is that occasionally you can get knives that haven't even been released yet(though I don't know how common that is). One of the other forumites snagged a Micro Dyad already.

I'd bet they have a pretty fair selection;)

No. Liability issues prevent tours from happening. Grinders and buffers and sharp blades(oh my) don't mix well with tourists who want to get up close and see everything.;)

I was there yesterday. Driving back (the scenic way) from Denver to Albuquerque. Yes, they've got a fantastic selection. Unlike most regular B&M stores, they have pretty much the full line on display (plus some cool prototypes for viewing), perhaps minus a model or two. Plus all the Byrd knives. They also have Kershaw and Wustoff kitchen knives, Surefire flashlights, apparel, and sharpening stones.

They didn't have any specials, factory seconds, or any old/discontinued models. They did have a couple new ones, like the Mini Dyad and the Turnbull, and a couple leftovers from sprint runs (like PE and SE CF Harpys). They didn't have the Pikal, or any of the new autos (they are on the road to shows). They also had a bunch of Santa Fe Stoneworks embellished knives.

Everything was retail priced.

Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to pay the store a visit when I am in Denver the first week of June.

I guess by "retail priced" you mean the MSRP that they have posted on their website ?

Don't forget to check out the knives embellished by Santa Fe Stoneworks. I've handled a few and am quite impressed.

Yeah. To be honest, the only advantage of the factory outlet is that they've got pretty much every model, so you can try them out. Particularily the stranger, more specialized models that you're not going to find in any other shop.
