Belgian knifemaker Filip De Leeuw specializes in friction folders and Spyderco's production version is oddly satisfying. The flat-ground VG-10 blade is an excellent slicer and quite snug in the open position. The black G10 handle is nicely contoured for comfort and it includes a leather pouch with pocketclip for carry. Made in Japan and designed to be carried in almost any locality.
