Spyderco find of the year !!! (hidden treasures)

i was in a knife store in santa maria last month and saw a like new t-mag fully serrated. a fully serrated jess horn that was also like new and one that i dont know the name of but i have seen it before, its the one with the huge thumb ramp and and jimping on both sides of the ramp, i wan to say massad ayoob but i know thats a different model:confused:

I would have been all over the jess horn !!! I think the knife you are refering to with the huge ramp is the gunting !! Very cool to find spyderco history by accident !
 
They fit soo well with the rest of my 90's era spydies !!!

yes, thats it! it was a trainer model though. i was having the hardest time thinking of the name.

i really wanted the t-mag but it was way more than what i could afford (269 bucks!)

A serrated t mag was never made.
 
The Jot has a few design flaws. The pivot and lock assembly was prone to getting loose and the screws for the clip go straight into the micarta and the female part strips out real easy. So, don't use the knife too hard and don't take off the clip.

IIRC the serrated Jot and Cent were not popular at the time and remaining stock was sold off in clearance sales by SMKW for between $30-50.
