Does anybody think a Spyderco folding utility knife would be sweet besides me? I have quite a few knives I rotate through for edc, I love all of my Spydies and various other blades but the knife that gets the most use is my piece of junk Husky folding utility knife. It would be great if Spyderco offered a knife geared towards office and warehouse/stockroom type work.

I'd be more interested if they started making real blades for the utility knives I already have. It would be so cool to open a new package and take out an honest-to-goodness sharp blade instead of those "let's pretend this is sharp" blades that you usually get.

I thought the Yojimbo was meant for taking apart people not cardboard  Seriously though that would be one hell of a work knife!

I have never found anything a utility knife could do better than any of my Spydercos. honestly I have never found a utility knife that could do anything better than a decent pair of sissors.

I've finally got myself a job that's relatively knife friendly so I don't carry utility knives anymore. My Dragonfly works better than any utility knife I've ever used IMO.

There are places out there that have a no tolerance policy toward "weapons" and a very broad view of what constitutes a "weapon" I can see how it would be nice to have a higher quality utility knife for such places.

Yeah I work in a children's hospital, weapons are prohibited, security can not even carry firearms (even though there have been situations where they have been threatened with one). That aside it would be really nice to have a quality NKP friendly utility blade. I tried a meyerco folding utility blade but the thing fell apart two months later. I guess I'm going to look into somthing with a nice thin flat ground blade, a wharncliffe would probably be ideal.

The "Lava" i recieved today as a gift from member georgemaggos (THANKS Again!) works perfect as a utility knife,.....and the blade length is under 2 inches and not likely to alarm anyone. It's wide also so appears even shorter to the eye.

It has a tight lockup and will probably outlast you!

All stainless steel construction and really solid in hand.

I have always wanted a Kiwi maybe I'll try one of those, or a Dodo..........drool. I would try the meadowlark but I just don't like the looks of it very much mostly due to the hole shape. The rescues are also a good idea but I don't want a serrated blade. Thanks for all the suggestions :)

The Byrd line can take a beating & still not make you cringe when you open your wallet.
