Just picked up this GB2 on a whim because I have always loved the style of this knife, not to mention the fact that they cut and slice like there is no tomorrow. I've owned four or five GB's & GB2's over the years and I must say if all folders relying on washers were this smooth, there's no telling how long it might have taken for bearings to be implemented in folding knives. I'm sure most of you reading this know that already, but if you've never handled one, just ask anyone who has.
I am not the original owner of this knife, but I do have the original box. The previous owner installed a Lynch deep carry clip, which is a HUGE improvement over the stock clip that Spyderco bolts to their GB2's. I do not have the original clip. I do not know the previous owner's frequency of carry or use, but I find little evidence of carry, aside from marks on the clip, and essentially no signs of use. I have carried it for a couple of days, but I haven't used it. Appears to me to have zero mechanical issues.
Much as I love this model, I have once again been seduced into buying a classic that, attractive and functional as it is, just doesn't do it for me like flippers or autos. Maybe you can relate. So, if you were wanting a GB2 in outstanding condition to carry and use, but didn't want to shell out the cash to buy one, here's your opportunity to offer something in trade.
Some models that interest me right now include the following, but feel free to make suggestions. The worst I can say is 'no thanks'. +/- cash, depending on the trade.
Light use is fine by me.
