Spyderco Gayle Bradley - WOW!

You don't have the knife do you? You also don't really know anything about Taiwan right? It would be funny to see you in Taipai trying to get by on $10 per day.

There's a real lot you don't know. That's pretty evident.

+1 on this !!! ;-)
The Mastiff is so right. And I like the way he barks ! Short sentences and straight to the point ! :-)
BTW I know a doctor in Taipei. Is one of the biggest known collector of Chris Reeve Knives for 20 years...
Next time I'll see him I will ask since when his country is in the third world...
Also, those in need of some design refinement should perhaps got to Texas and meet Gayle Bradley to show him how to design a knife ?

Listen I didn't mean literally 10 bucks a day guys !! That wasn't really the point. The important thing to remember is that outsourcing anything is bad for the country! If we just keep giving jobs away there won't be any left for us here!

Yes and you should really meet Sal and talk to him about patriotism...

+ 1 on this!!! The GB is like the BM vex with premium steel in my eyes it could be refined to be an amazing knife but they really just missed the boat on it!!! Not yo mention the workers who
make them make like 10 bucks a day !!!

This is humor, right? Please explain exactly ow "they really just missed the boat." I assume you've got knife/cutlery credentials that will stand up to those of Mr. Bradley?

Have you read any of Sal's many patient explanations? Do you know that the Golden plant is running at capacity? Do you know how hard it is to get investment capital, and what the degree of risk is when you expand a manufacturing facility?

have both the stretch & g.b.in carbon fiber. the g.b. is actually better finished out & smoother than the stretch which costs considerable more. m4 is my favorite alloy wish it came in the endura.having owned spydercos since the 80s i can certainly agree the bradley is the most elegant package.

Outsourcing is a function of parasitic politics -- not a function of how determined you are to "buy American."

We've been living in bubble economies since the mid 1990's, which have rewarded .com's and housing, at the expense of other industries (which then of course tend to move away) -- and bubbles are caused by the policies of the federal reserve. And we are now paying the price for it.

People will "buy American" when it is for the right reason -- i.e. when we make a product with better value than the competition.

I completely agree. Many Americans lose sight of the big picture and the events that led to this point. When it was good times, few really asked questions. Now that it's bad, few want to really look back and analyze those good times.

I find that most that cry out "to buy American" also want less government regulation of the "free market." You really can't get both unless American producers are able to make an equal product of value or better at competitive prices. Look at our auto industry. They have only themselves to blame. It's also funny to think that any business/bank supports a "free market." Their lobbyist pockets are so deep and so involved on the Hill it's ridiculous. :jerkit:

/rant.

I'm glad you guys enjoy your Bradleys and Benchmades. Different strokes for different folks.

Don't get me wrong I love spyderco but I feel a lot of their homerun designs are being lost to foreign manufacturing!!

I agree with this quote.

My only advice is to pick up the S90v/CF Manix2. It's USA made and I will take that over the Bradley any day.

Thanks, how is the Manix2 better or different than the Bradley? I know nothing about it.

Skeletonized liners, better ergos, better lock(i'm not a fan of liner locks), full flat grind, and the blade steel is arguably better.

These are my preferences.

I handled the Bradley CF yesterday and steel addiction kicked in. It's one hell of a user. The liners on that thing are pretty stout! I liked the feel, fit and finish. Good price too.

Sal and company do not make it easy for me to practice restraint. Ironic considering they make a knife called Temperance.
