Spyderco has a new Pink Delica with a black blade

S30V is a nice upgrade. This pink really grows on you. there is a satin blade model, as well.

This is a good thing for them - this will pull in a lot more female customers.

(Of course, I wouldn’t want to carry it... :D)

Spyderco listens to its customers. They are about to release two new pink Delicas with S30V. One has a satin blade and the other has a black blade.

My wife is already ooing and ahhing over it. I may have to get one for myself, as well.
No interest at all from my end. I dislike black blades. I would like to get a "better Delica", but with modern knives I have pretty much shifted to the Benchmade Mini Presidio II as my chosen knife. The Delica had that spot for a long time and still serves as a reference point on sizing for something I would probably like when shopping on-line.

I guess people like black blades because they look “tactical”? I don’t have anything against black blades - I like black and silver blades equally.

indeed --- the colors definitely doesn't help if you are trying to put a lid on the purchases, i can just imagine some tough brawny 200 lb muscle black ops soldier pulling out a pink delica in the battlefield, makes me giggle.

most of my knives have black handles and to me, black is a "professional" color, subtle, but it goes beyond that, most of my clothes are black and black is my favorite color, hell, my tattoos are even black --- so austere it is

- Mr. Pink: Why am I Mr. Pink?
- Joe Cabot: Because you're a ———, alright?
- Mr. Pink: Why can't we pick our own colors?
- Joe Cabot: No way, no way. Tried it once, it doesn't work. You get four guys all fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black, but they don't know each other, so nobody wants to back down. No way. I pick. You're Mr. Pink. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow.

I think the pink/black combo is super fun, and I'm sure if it sells well they'll do their normal boring black/satin S30V combo for everyone who likes to look boring.

I think I might go for this one, would be my first Seki Spyder. Hoping the FRN is the same shade as the Native.

But I’m supposed to be excited about S30? Really? Yawn.

good movie, mr, blonde was my favorite, complete psycho but, my favorite, i did the mr. blonde dance on my last day of work at my old job, knife and all --- anyway back on topic, if i had a girlfriend id buy her the pink, as sexist as that sounds, but i wouldn't buy it for myself, different strokes..

Is it ethically wrong if I buy this knife for my daughter and switch the blade so I get a s30v blade and her pink Delica gets a vg10 one? I mean come on she is 6! Vg10 will be fine until she loses it!

If she is smart enough to know and care about knife steel and she wouldn't have wanted the swap. then it's wrong.

If all she cares about is getting a free pretty pink new knife then it's ok to swap.

I like it. That’s some solid logic.
