Just an interesting catch...

My wife watches a show called What Not To Wear, where the hosts aid the nominated guest in a fashion, hair, and makeup makeover. As I wandered by a couple of nights ago, one of the hosts noticed a knife in the jeans pocket of the makeover recipient and asked What's that in your pocket?!?

She proceeded to pull out her fully-serrated stainless-steel good-sized Spyderco for them to look at...the camera never focused on it clearly enough for me to determing the model, but I thought it was pretty cool to see this gal confidently carrying (she drives a concrete truck for a construction firm). You could tell the show's hosts didn't get it at all...

Ray :)

So did it match her shoes or not? :D

I saw this one too since my fiance loves that show and watches it religiously.

Looked like a SE Stainless Delica to me. I couldn't help but laugh at the hosts' reaction. Stacy Lundon's eyes got really big and immediately she asked "Is that legal?" The makeover recipent said, "sure, it's only 2 1/2 inches." They Stacy opened the knife and stood around for the rest of the scene looking awkward since she couldn't figure out how to close it. :D

I think knives count as fashion accessories. If I could get on that show, I'd sure find a way to spend part of the $5000 they give you on a few fashionable knives for my wardrobe.;):p

I think that lady has great taste in what to wear.

I thought a Poliwog on a nice silver chain would look like anifty pendant.

Oddly enough, knives are the only unnecessarily expensive part of my wardrobe ($5000 would get you a lot of $15 jeans and shirts, plus enough underwear for the rest of your life). Everything else is purely functional, but my knives are functional and cost a lot.
Though a function in usually associated with the cost, like the super edge holding CPM S90V Military, or the rust proof Rock Salt.

Too true. While reading this, I totaled up what I'm currently wearing, vs what I'm currently carrying:

$40 Levi 501s, $13 BR t-shirt, $4 dress socks, $10 belt, $4 boxers, $60 dressy shoes = about $130

Darrel Ralph 4" Madd Maxx III = about $550

About 1:4; which is as it should be :).
