I've used the search function but came up empty. Hey Sal, has Spyderco ever used D2 or considered using it?

We have not used it in the past.

We'll probably make a "steel junky's mule" with in in the future.

We are also working on something that is still "under wraps" and I'm not permitted to give any information.

Thanks, so much for the reply Sal. Love your products. I look forward to any new models in the future. I'm still trying to keep pace with 2007's offerings and fill in the gaps in my collection with existing ones.:D

Not even a tiny hint?!

:) No! No hints, because the next thing you know, we will all be begging even more. :)
I'm happy with the steel choices from Spyderco, D2 would be nice to see, but I don't think they need it. How about more knives with peely-ply carbon fiber instead.

I'm actually a bit surprised that Spyderco is considering D2, though from Sal's wording, it sounds like it will be solely for the fixed-blade "steel junky" tester program.

I'm a bit surprised about the possibility of D2 in a Spydie. I hope the 52100 woods knife is still in the works.

What would surprise me more than D2 is a Spyderco in the new CPM 154 CM. This new CPM is something I want to try.

:)
