Spyderco is the Scrooge McDuck of screws

Odd, I've never had anything other then excellent customer service. A pivot screw, one time.
Clip screws, another time.(one lost and got a pack of 3)

Had a DF2 clip screw come out. Clip was on my pocket and the barrel was in the handle of the DF2, in my pocket. They sent the barrel, screw, and clip.

Once, a M390 Manix blade snapped, from my own use. 50% off a purchase. (I had to "fight" a little, from 25%. Considering dealers sell for more off than that)

No complaints here.

I’ve had good experiences with Spyderco’s CS in the past. Charlynn even went out of her way to source body screws, clip screws and even clips for a couple of my long discontinued Spydies and sent them to me halfway round the world, gratis.

Granted, this was from a few years back so I’m not sure if CS policy have changed since. For example, Kershaw/KAI USA changed their warranty policy for international customers in 2019, from good to horrendous (read non existent : as an overseas customer, if you need replacement parts etc, you are on your own even if the knife is 100% genuine & purchased from legit dealers like Knifecenter, BladeHQ and the like).

Maybe those with more recent Spyderco CS dealings can chime in?

I have no experience with Spyderco CS but I do have a Pacific Salt 2 with a slightly stripped screw after putting it back together after a good clean.

And yes I was using good Wiah bits with no locktite on the screws.

I think the screws are soft from the beginning.

Also, we are only getting one side of the story here. I vaguely remember the OP having issues in the past with a company. and in his posts sometimes the communication isn't the best. CS is less likely to help if the customer is difficult.
