Spyderco Kopa...

Code:
Kopa would be a superb little gent's knife if it wasn't for the somewhat inappropriate clip being impossible to remove cleanly. It could have done without the Boye dent as well, since I can't visualize members of either the SD or "hard use" crowd carrying one.

I am actually a fan of the Boye Dent on this. I think it improves the lines of the knife. Plus it makes it easier to feel where it is since it's an all stainless knife

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, I have to wonder whether we're talking about the same model. Spyderco made sixteen versions of the Kopa, each with a different scale material, but "all stainless" was not one of them.

I have a few of them. :D Actually, one of each flavor that Spyderco has made. It is definitely one of my favorite Spyderco designs.

What is the knife the second to the right of the cocobolo?

The three to the right of the pearl/abalone are wicked awesome. These don't seem to be available, at least where I looked.

I have three of them, stacked wood, pearl/abalone, giraffe bone, and an abalone/pearl on its way to me as we speak.

They are gentlemen's folders. I use the clip even tho it masks one side of the knife, better than rattling around in my pocket.

Now to find the corals and turquoise . . . .

Here are a couple of pictures of Kopa Evrinas I engraved with English fine scroll and scrimshawed a few years ago. I still have one left in the cupboard but I can't decide what to scrim on it. I like the Kopa but have to agree about the clip; if Spyderco left it off the Kiwi, why not the Kopa too?

I truly regret not picking up the stacked wood version when I had the chance.

I really love the Kopa, but they are SO freaking expensive on the secondary market. I have a stacked wood and an ervina, and am always on the lookout for more. I also love the older lockback version of the Kiwi, and have four of the Spyderco versions. Also a knife that is crazy expensive on the secondary market. I really wished that I had been actively collecting Spyderco knives when these two designs were released.

I have entire set + couple spares. Kopa Cocobolo is the knife, which started my interest in Spyderco. It is almost every day in my watch pocket for the last 5-6 years, but every time I am taking it out or putting back in I am wishing that this knife would be clipless. I think that we really need few sprint runs of clipless Kopa. I have few gents knives from other brands, all clipless, but ergos are not even close to Kopa. And it is perfect size for gents knife.

Probably this is true, if you are talking about e-bay listings with BIN option. But lately I saw several of them sold on action and on BF at very descent price, some of them even for less than I paid, when they came out.
