I just got this knife a couple days ago & have been carrying it since. The F&F are excellent.Ergos also very good.Feels really solid in the hand.Locks up like a vault. As always with spyderco...razor sharp, out of the box.I really love this knife:thumbup::D I gotta slight problem though. The action is tighter than any other spyderco I own. There's no tension screw(wouldn't look right with one IMO).I put a couple drops of Hoppes lubricating oil in the action, didn't really make a difference.I can still open it pretty fast, but not as fast as my others. Is this just because it's new & needs to be broken in?Anyone else notice this?
Thanks,
John

Had one for a while, and I encountered the same issues. I think it is a design issue. I'm sure with lots of use it will break in a little. Actually, I kind of liked the Kris and might replace it if I ever found a good deal on one.

Thanks for the quick reply:thumbup:
I'll never sell this knife. The tight action is just a minor issue.
I got mine on fleabay for $114+shipping.Lowest price I've yet to see on it.

I found the Persians were also a bit stiffer than the rest of my Spydies, i presume its just typical of those particular knives. Its still nice and smoothe it just takes abit more "effort" to open.

Play with it obsessively for a few days, and it will be smooth as silk.:)
I encountered the same stiffness, but after a few hundred openings, it was all good.

It will probably loosen up.

I could easily thumb flick my first Kris straight out of the box. The second one, which was made the following month, took a lot of work to loosen up.

So, even with one model some variation is possible.

Warriors and Wonders has them online for $89!!!:
So I got two.

$89:eek: It never fails...The minute I buy anything,I'll see the same exact item at a much lower price in the next few days/weeks.It's like I'm cursed or something:grumpy:

Yeah, I know how you feel.
2 weeks after I plunked down $230 for a Super Karambit, someone in the exchange section here had one for sale for $130!!
But I can't complain too loudly; you win some, and don't so much win others.
At least you HAVE a Kris, so that's something.:)
