Hi, i was wondering what locks Spyderco uses than the lockback and liner lock? What models do the other locks come in? Do they have a lock that is like the axis lock or compression lock?

Hi Musky Hunter.
Spyderco also use liner (walker) locks and compression locks, in fact I think Spyderco are the only main stream producer that uses compression locks. Also on the horizon (just begining to make an appearance with the WTC knife) is the ballbearing lock, very similar to the axis lock but using a ballbearing instead of a cylander.

In their current line up Spyderco use liner locks in :
Cricket, Military, Bob Lum Tanto and Chinese Folder.

Compression locks are used in :
Vesuvious, Gunting, Lil' Temperance, Salsa and the upcoming ATR.

The Ballbearing lock is just begining to ship with the WTC Knife and the upcoming Dodo.

The Ball bearing lock, from the looks of it, uses captive coil springs, which should be more durable than the Omega springs that Axis lock uses.
