Spyderco Locking Folders with 3" Blades

If the Mantra or Chaparral were on the list it would likely be a much harder choice. But of these I have to go Delica.

Delica4 and Native5 are secure in first and second place respectively although the gap between them is closing.

There's a tight race for third place between Para3, Caly3 and Sage5.

The Sage series has a combined 21 votes.

Yes, if you combined all the Sage models it would be a very tight race for first place between Delica4, Native5 and Sage.

The issue with the Sage series models is that due to the handle material and locking mechanisms they're quite different whereas say all Delica4 and Native5 folders have back locks even though you can find them in various handle materials, colors and steels.

As far as locking mechanisms go, the clear winner in the 3" blade Spyderco folders is Back Lock.

I have several Delicas, Chaparrals and a few other backlock models. But backlocks are just something I put up with when I can't avoid them.

Ok I voted Para 3. I love the ergos and g10. Ergos are identical to the Para 2, and I prefer this blade shape over the Sage series. And I prefer the compression lock. This is a perfect knife.
