Spyderco made here or Japan?

There is an excellent reason. The Military was made in the US, and the Lum Tanto was made in Japan

Spyderco has production facilities in both countries, and therefore different models are made in different places.
 
I don't think you need to worry, Shane, until you see the letters Pak or China.

Hi Shane. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

It is as said, however, I would like to take this opportunity to make a point.

Finding Knife makers that have the passion for knives and the ability to make Spyderco quality is difficult. We have not found too many.

If I find such a person and they demonstrate that they can meet our stringent parameters, we would consider ourselves fortunate. It wouldn't matter if they were in Poland or Zimbabwe. It is IMO unfair to close one's mind to potential regardless of where it comes from...as long as it is really there.
