I really like the design, size and love it being a flipper but for ~$300 if it doesn't have a more premium steel than "regular" S30V I'll probably pass unless I can find a lightly used one for ~$200

I personally can't wait for this knife to start shipping. I don't mind S30V and think that spyderco does a phenomenal job with this steel as a rule. It is (for me) by far the most interesting and beautiful trailing point/persian folder currently in production - just wish they'd start coming in soon!

From the production vids I've seen the edge is NOT sharpened to the heel of the blade, I wanted one until I learned this, too bad.

There is a Acronym contest on IG right now to win a Mamba. The best acronym for M.A.M.B.A. wins. LOL

When I checked earlier there were about 1,500+ comments/entries. I thought about it for about 30 minutes, and entered my best one....then deleted it as soon as I saw it on IG. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I deleted my entry because there isn't any cool acronym for that particular word. It took me 30 minutes to figure that out.

Anyway, the Mamba is pretty cool looking, I like it.
