Thanks guys for the heads up on this knife. It's far more impressive in hand than in photo's.Even though the knife is less than 3 ounces,it's rock solid. The texture on the handle and wire pocket clip are much better than I thought and the knife fits nicely in my shirt pocket, with just a little bit of blue exposed that looks more like a pen or something than a large pocket knife. It cut's like a laser.I actually like this knife better than my Griptillian and it's almost half the price.:thumbup:

Oh and powernoodle also thinking so highly of this knife was impressive.

Gratz!

Yeah....today I went out to do some errands and have a current rotation of my new Yojimbo 2, SB Endura, PM2 and the Manix 2 Blue LW....I grabbed the Manix. It is a fantastic knife.

I agree. The FRCP is actually very grippy and doesn't feel cheap to me in any way. I sure hope they can use this to make other lightweight versions of popular Spyderco knives and I also hope they introduce more colors. CTS-BD1 steel is very easy to sharpen and takes a very nice edge.

It's an exceptional knife. I like it more than the standard version which in comparison seems clunky.

I like them both and I don't think of the standard model as clunky, but it is a bit heavy for its size.

My only complaint about the LW is that I can't find a good deal on a used one. A used G10 model will normally be a lot less than the used FRN model.

I am just bumping this because of my love for the LW. I have pretty much put my rotation away because of it.

That's my thoughts as well, it's much stronger than I thought it would be.

Yeah, it is strong for sure. The specs are awesome. 3 ounces, strong lock, thin profile, robust blade... And strength isn't sacrificed at all. I cant wait for the S110v version. That's quite an over the top steel, I'd have been happy with CPM154 or even S30v but ok :thumbup:I'm sure theres more planned for it down the road. One cool thing, the LWT Manix and upcoming LWT N5 are US made polymer Spydies. For one, thats good to see and two, it opens up steel options that are not available to Japanese FRN Spydercos.

Yes the L/W a really nice platform for different blade steel. I was amazed how rock solid the L/W is and the traction plan on scales is actually better than I thought. I hope to get a S110V version.

A couple other things I like are the wire clip and also the less aggressive handle jimping (since it's plastic).

Is it pinned together to reduce weight? I'm considering trying one however I've never owned a knife I couldn't disassemble. I have my reservations...do you guys think it's not a big deal?
