  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Spyderco Manix 2 LW or Benchmade Griptillian for camp/hiking knife

Griptilian. About the same price as the Manix, and the blade steel is much better. You may want to look at the regular Manix 2 if you what a better comparison aside from weight to the large Grip.

The Grip is the better knife out of those two choices.
However, the G-10 Manix2 trumps the Grip. It's a close call.
I carry a G-10 Manix2 and I haven't found anything that will kick it out of my pocket.
I've had the Lightweight, and it's just not the same knife...

"Manix 2 LW or Benchmade Griptillian for camp/hiking knife"

My choice would be the larger Ritter Griptillian as I absolutly prefer the blade shape over the standard Benchmade production model.
And for camping, orange scales, as it's easy to spot on the ground or in water if fallen out of a pocket or pack.
If scales are O.D. or black... best to dummy cord then to be sorry you didn't.
(my fixed camping knife is a Survive! Knives 4.1 - M390)
