spyderco manix 2 translucent blue

It is what it is. It's an excellent knife but certainly isn't one I'd have in lieu of a PM2, or a Sage for that matter. For me it's just another cool Spydie that I wanted to have, so I do!

I got mine in a trade. I have seriously thought about getting a brand new one just in case they discontinue this model. This is technically not as good as a PM2, but it is half the price. It is inexpensive, light, is in the Manix family, it is translucent blue, oh yeah and it is a Spyderco. I know opinions vary, but I really have to scratch my head when people talk down about this knife. So be it, they will just keep the price down for me and other value knife lovers. VG or s30v might be better, but I have enough knives in that metal already.

I use mine a fair bit.
Especially when it's super cold. I fell on the ice at work the other day, right on top of it. I also ended up with a pocket full of snow and salt. (they use a lot of salt on the roads up here) Cleaned her up, no bumps or bruises, no liner so the give in the handle was key.
A great knife for these type of days.
Cheers

Absolutely my favorite knife. Just ordered a backup. Lock takes some practice but is worth the strength.

In terms of weight, cost, ease of use, strength and practicality, this knife ranks number one.

I much prefer it to my regular manixes, which I have two, for edc.

Gives up very little, gains A LOT

I loved mine and did use it hard. The steel didn't hold an edge for very long but it sharpened easy as a breeze. Between it and the hollow grind manix, hands down id take the blue. as for the comparison to the endura, i think its fair, though i found it easier to control and more comfortable after cutting for along time because of that fat handle, the endura is easier to carry but only marginally.

I had one for a while, that clip is horrendous i bent the crap out of it weekly and it eventually just gave up and snapped off... it also felt cheap for a 80$ knife.
