Spyderco Manix 2 vs the Benchmade Griptillian

Gotta buy the manix to try it, although they are very different knives. Of the two, I prefer the griptilian with custom scales. However, that puts it in a different price range. For the money, I think the manix is a much better buy with the s30v, full liners and g10.

The Grip is no longer priced competitively. It's still a good knife though.

If you like the size/ergonomics/shape of the Manix then yes you should get one. It's a great knife.

Manix all the way. Ergos are just spot on. Really locks into your hand. The BBL is a little different than the Axis Lock but once you get used to it, it's easy as pie to disengage.

Also, the blade length is just about perfect for any EDC cutting tasks. Now this thread needs pics of both knives to help homeboy make up his mind haha.

Blacked out Manix 2 with DLC blade:

Satin Manix 2 with ZT 0452CF and Bladeforums Stag Jack:

Had a Manix 2 G-10 with S30V. Loooooved the ergonomics. It is amazing in hand. I dislike the look.

With so many options out there, looks are an ok reason to get rid of a knife. I have a BM 551 that I like more than I liked the Manix 2. On the rare days where I don't carry my 0562, the 551 is usually in my pocket.
