recently got a matriarch - couldnt flick it open - too darned stiff-no prob could open easy w/the hole so.. - well i put a lanyard made of black para cord on it, about as long as my little finger,typical hangmans knot just to help draw it from my pocket - but now ya can draw it, and holding the lanyard and the lower handle of the knife ya can easily easily flick it open - the cord gives ya leverage, i guess and it really snaps it out - try it ya'll like it- i dont know how 'tactically correct' it is but it works for me
