I'm looking for information re: the Spyderco/Michael Walker. I'd like to hear from some of you who own one. I have several questions:
1. What is the over-all length?
2. What is the blade length?
3. Is the clip a molded Zytel one or metal? Is it tip up or down?
4. How does it measure up to similar sized Spydies in the area of ergonomics?
5. What is the current market value?
6. Is this a knife that I should buy?

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Blade length is 2 9/16 inches, closed length is 3 5/8 inches, overall length is 6 1/8 inches. These measurements came from one I had. Molded pocket clip on the back for tip up carry. Not sure of current value.

IMO, the Walker is a pretty nice knife, but for some reason, it just never appealed to me. First off, I don't like the swedge. The swiss Walker looks so smooth and the lines flow, it isn't the case on the lightweight. Secondly, the checked handles look cheaper than the volcano or even the spyderweb patterns. Lastly, I didn't care for the molded pivot dome or the wider molded clip. Molded clips didn't bother me before this knife, but for some reason, the thicker clip turned me off. Of course this isn't to say that you won't love the knife! On the positive side, the knife carries well and mine locked up like a tank. If you are looking for something smaller to carry, I would look no further than either the Delica or the Native. Last price that I've seen them is about 40-50 dollars give or take.
Good luck,
Matt

Remember that Spyderco also had a high end version of the Walker made in Switzerland. It was carbon fiber with blue anodized titanium scales and clip with a polished ATS-34 blade. These tended to run between $245-300. They came in 50/50 and plain edge. All of them were numbered and they came with a zipper pouch.

There was also an almite handled Michael Walker:
