Spyderco Military anyone?

Fed Ex delivered this to my door this morning. I have to say I have been a little skeptical and wasn't completely sold on the aesthetics but all you knuckleheads kept raving about it so I gave in and bought one.

You were right.... I love it. My new EDC.

The tip is pretty "pointy" so I doubt I would pry anything with it. But then again, I never use my knives for that anyways. Its wicked sharp and looks like it would stab through just about anything including my hand. My second choice would have been the camo. Get one, you will love it.
 
Well i was just wondering because i tend to blunt tips without knowing it. Looks like a needle tip didn't know if it would chip or anything.
 
I completely understand. I once dropped a BRKT Highlander on the tile taking it out of the box. I lost a good 1/16th of the tip.
 
I received my Left hand Military this week. What an awesome knife, i'm really impressed. My only criticism would be the tip down only config. I dont like the way it positions the knife in the pocket, the curve of the knife bends towards the middle of the pocket which makes it inconvienient when reaching for other items in the pocket.
But then again this wont be an EDC so the issue is relatively minor.

I've been thinking about the military all week- "too big, I'll never use it." "looks so cool and nasty" etc etc... decisions decisions

Part of is it I should receive a Sage II Monday and I'll see what I think of that beauty!
 
Dang you, Yab. If your Military wheel makes me buy another Military, I'll hunt you down like a rabid rat.

But, yeah, the Military is a cool knife. I always underestimate it, but it is one of my favorites. I love the pointy point and the flat grind and the easy-carry erogos. Thumbs up to Sal.

I'm going to have to pick up a Military eventually. I just have this feeling, kinda like when I was looking at the Para...
