Spyderco Military M390 - Users and pics?

Pretty much. I might buy one if I see a good deal on it and add it to my rotation. Only 'pretty' knives get to be safe queens. Sebenzas get used!

It's definitely worth bumping a thread from March with a bunch of arguing and bad feelings in it.

Mine's not a heavy user, but used enough that it won't command as much resale as a safe queen would. Anyways something struck my pocketclip, lifting it out of my pocket and causing it to open when it hit the ground. Blunted the tip real bad.

I was wondering how I ran across this thread. Was looking up the m390 CF Military on google and got to this thread rather than What's New.

My M390 has been carried somewhat and cut a few things but it's mostly this blue para that gets a lot of carry time and use. I also have a pre-need replacement blue para.

Just a bunch of greedy people trying to flip them to make a buck at the expense of us

Thats one view. Another view is that its stupid to sell a knife for less than its fair market value. If you would like to demonstrate that you aren't greedy, I would be most pleased to purchase from you a Titanium Military with steel insert for $40. I prefer NIB please.

I'm sorta just goofing, so don't take me too seriously please. But even if everyone who bought a M390 Millie used it like you prefer, you still wouldn't have one, so it seems that your frustration is misplaced. Capitalism is not the issue. Its your unwillingness or inability to buy one when they were available.

I bought 2 M390 Millies - one to hoard and one to use. I later sold one. The other is still NIB, but with the value having appreciated so rapidly I can't bring myself to use it. Especially as I have about a dozen other perfectly good Millies in various flavors to use. So what am I to do? Thrash a $350 knife unnecessarily and turn it into a $150 knife for no good reason? Or sell it? If I sell it, do you expect me not to ask for fair market value? Money means just as much to the seller as it does the buyer.

The answer to your dilemma is to keep a keen eyeball on the sprint runs and dealer exclusives, and buy one (or more) when they are available. Then you don't have to characterize those of us who did buy them as greedy.
