Hello,

I just purchased a new Spyderco Military plain edge 2 days ago which has the new, finer jimping on the thumb ramp and finger choil.

However, I recently viewed some other Military models that have the older style thumb ramp jimping which look like deep notches and no jimping on the finger choil. I'd much rather have this version. Here is a link of what I'm referring to: http://www.spydercollector.nl/

A few dealers I called only carry the newer version. Anyone know who carries the older style?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and take care.

I don't know who would have the older stock, I much prefer the older jimping myself, so I feel your pain:( Me thinks the best thing to do is google a list of dealers with 800 numbers and start dialing. Best of luck.

Based on my S30V/CF one, I'd guess they've been that way for going on two years at least. So there probably won't be too many online dealers who have stock older than that. Best bet would probably be to haunt eBay, just be sure you're looking at photos of the actual knife being offered. Don't assume that just because the seller took the photo, it's the knife you're bidding on. Most dealers photograph once, then use that picture forever. Use the "ask the seller" feature.
