Spyderco Military vs. Benchmade Griptillian

I'd say dollar for dollar there the same, you get a nicer knife with the military at a higher price though. Both are good however.

That's because BM is very authoritarian in their marketing. Dealers are not allowed to advertise at prices lower than 75% of MSRP.

If the dealers give coupon codes on top of the 25% "discount," then you should be able to get a Griptilian for about $65, or about half the price of a Military.

Agreed, the Millie blade shape and length is very useful. Big knife but its thin and light. G10 and FFG is nice, just one badass knife :) Ive never cared for the grip but yeah, to me its more like an Endura.
 
The Military is by far a more superior knife. In terms of factory edge, steel, and ergonomics. No it's not fully ambidextrous, but I'm guessing you're aware of that since you're considering it.

I've handled both. But I feel nothing for the BM. I own an orange Military. It's one of my top three knives. Incredible EDC blade.
 
I'm starting to get the vibe through this thread that those who really like Spyderco, for whatever reason just don't like the feel of the benchmade.

Well kind of. It wasnt a good comparison to begin with and its not fair to compare the two when the Millie costs 20-30 bucks more. Like I said before, an Endura vs Grip comparison would be an even comparison and in that case you would probably end up with a 50/50 vote instead of this landslide victory for the Millie.
