Spyderco "Military" vs "Para Military"

That's a dang spiffy comarison on page 5. Thanks, Sears.

Unfourtunatly, it sort of turned me off to both knives. There's just too much handle, and not enough blade. Idealy, my EDC Pocket knife would have a 3" blade, and a 3.00001" handle.

I wonder how many folks get into making knives because they can't find a production knife to suit? :)

That extra handle length is very much by design, to allow for greater control. A metaphor I've heard to illustrate the concept is the surgeon's scalpel, a one inch blade with a five inch handle, because it works better. :)
 
For various reasons, the Paramilitary is better than the Millie. However, I preffer the Military more. Not that there would be something wrong with the Paramillie, just my personal taste.
