Well, the S30V Millie works just fine, but I have found the edge retention to be a decent bit better with the CPM D2 version, and the CPM D2 version gets a good bit sharper as well while being easier to sharpen due to less burring. It probably has something to do with the CPM D2 version being 62 RC and the S30V version being 59 RC. If you are happy with the performance of the S30V and can make a killing on eBay with a NIB CPM D2 model I can see the allure to selling, though I have found it to be a great user.
