I ordered the para2 in 204p thats carpenters version of m390 correct? when does the mule go for sale in that steel? I got my elmax in and love it.

And yes 204p for the win. I imagine it would be impossible to notice a difference from this and m390

I'm not sure it would really even be a viable choice for a practical knife though. More of an exotic one-off that shows the extreme limits of what we can consider "steel."

Considering that they just released the ELMAX mule, I'm betting that it will be a couple of months - the production schedule at Golden has to be in overdrive with all the sprints and new production models...

A popular place for blade steel had a supply a few weeks ago. It was incredibly expensive and the thickness they roll it at wouldn't be conducive for a mule.

how about cpm rex 76 or rex 121, they look interesting as well?

I'm guessing a rex 76 or 121 production mule would be very very expensive. They would lose money if they put at a price level that "most" would spend. JMHO

I hope the next mule wouldn't be an extreme wear resistant knife but be a platform to test the brand new perfect allround blade steel: cpm 4v
