Spyderco Mule MT14 - Comming Soon!

I am currently looking at getting a Mule so I have a fixed blade around. I know it is hard to believe I dont have one! My wife cant believe it either! LOl

What is the steel coming out? What is the expected price for it?

Second option: What is a good one to look at getting if the new one is too pricey? Please help me as I have no knowledge of these mules or most steels.

Elmax is an excellent all around steel that is still in stock as a Mule for $65. The upcoming 204P should be great as well since it is chemically almost identical to M390. I expect it to be a little more expensive than the Elmax ($65) and less than or the same as the M390 ($75).
 
In regards to the mules mike, they're only available until the production run is sold. You really don't have many options unless you're purchasing them as they come out. Right now there are still some left in several different varieties, but you won't be able to buy any of the old ones unless you purchase them secondhand.

Do you know when the 204P one is scheduled to come out?? I have the preorder on that steel for the Para 2 and would go for it in the Mule cause I heard good things about the steel.
 
The Mules come out every few months. I would expect the 204P one before the summer. I think I remember Sal saying that the steel was in...

Any word on the new Mule guys? Ive been out of the loop for a couple months now. Use to check this site religiously and now im way behind.
 
Sal mentioned on the Spyderco forum that they were spending some time getting comfortable with this new steel in a production environment. I assume that this is also responsible for the delay of the Green Para2 exclusive...

I'm glad they are taking their time and getting all the kinks worked out.
