Spyderco Native 5 Fluted Titanium

Man, another one I missed preorder for, may have to grab one off B/S/T when they finally get out in the wild.

you didn't exactly miss. It is true that many people have it on pre-order for a while, but to the best of my knowledge only one batch was made, probably fairly small batch and the knife never showed up on the dealers shelves. Also Fluted Native5 is not a sprint run but limited production like ti Fluted military, which is quite difficult, but possibly to buy, if you patient enough.

Nice, maybe I can still catch one from an online vendor when that start shipping. Still trying to get a decent price on a ti fluted mili.

Well with Blade coming up it'll officially be 2 years since this knife won "American Made Knife of the Year"

Seriously can't wait for this knife. This will be a very good EDC knife for me, I remember Sal saying they were close but it feels like it has been forever.

This is unusual for Spyderco so I'm beginning to think there is a production issue and we may not see them - at least in the foreseeable future. I certainly hope I'm wrong. I Really want this knife.

If there is an issue with production, what could it be? I was thinking, and this is purely just speculation, that maybe they're having problems with the fluting. The fluting looks very fine, and with cast titanium components, I know small air bubbles form. Maybe the fluting is fine enough that this small amount of porosity can mess them up somehow.

I wonder as well. I've had this one on preorder for over a year. I really want this one to go with my Military. I just wish we'd get an update.

I just ordered one from BHQ. Pricy, but I love the N5 and can't risk missing the boat. This knife is a must-have for me.

I bought the last one off of BladeHQ last night. It was the most I ever paid for a Spyderco so far but it will be worth it.

Yupp I've gotten a couple of emails, these are suposedly coming along this week.

These are still regular production as has been mentioned several times in the past correct?

Contrary to the Catalog, this is a limited production knife, like the ZT 0777. I hear the machining for the fluted design is really a nightmare.

Proof lies in the now complete disappearance of the Military fluted Ti design.
