Can anyone tell me what blade steel Spyderco used for the "Native"???

GIN 1, AUS 8, CPM 440 V,...????

We all know this: Ask 3 people, get 4 opinions...

If I am not mistaken, I have seen the Native in BG42 recently, as well as in GIN-1 and CPM440.

I own a lightweight Native in GIN-1 and even though the knife is sharp and strong, the steel developed pits after I went 48 hrs without wiping it down. Needless to say, I am not pleased, but since the knife is used as a utility knife and for nothing more, I can only avoiding further, more serious rusting issues by taking better care of the piece.
