This makes my second one this year ( have a butterfly rainbow knife). really like this knife and i think its going to be addictive like my benchmade collection. Will this maddness ever stop!!!! Great knife for the money and i am not funny when it comes to knives:)

Nice choice. My intro to Spyderco Knives was the Native III. Got 16 different Natives now plus several other Spydie models. The Native is my overall favorite. Can't beat it for the price and quality of materials.

I have a half dozen Natives myself. I think the Native is one of the best values in the knife world and a fantastic knife in it's own right.

I recently put my old-school Native into the EDC rotation and had forgot how useful and efficient the Native is: fantastic ergos and the blade shape makes for a great cutter. Always wanted to get the Native 3 and this experience may push me to do so... gets me thinking of a thread about a BIG spydie native

There was also talk of another big native styled knife with a 5" blade (the Bison). Think its still stuck on the development board at Spyderco... maybe one day? :D

I purchased my first Spyderco a week or so ago. It was a Native PE FRN purchased at a Walmart in Hawaii for about $45. Incredible all purpose EDC knife with great ergonomics and steel quality for the money. Is there any other blade of that size and quality available in CPM S30V for under $50? I doubt it. Also, according to Fred Perrin, an expert in knife SD and a maker himself, the Native is really excellent for that purpose as well. Don't have the link handy but he has a SD oriented reveiw of the Native you can locate by searching on his name and "Native."

I used Wally-World's web site ($39.95) and avoided having to drive/elbow-crowds, wait-in-line etc.

Fantastic bargain on one of the best folders ever made ~ ; - )

Being in Hawaii, it would have cost me the same as buying at the store to order from the web site with shipping (they don't deliver for free to the store here). At least I got to pick the best one from the available stock (although they all were good). Can't get over how good it is especially considering the low price.

Ever since buying my first Native it is a constant companion. I've tried to replace it a few times but it has become an anchor in my EDC. Slim, light, great blade shape and a near ideal handle shape.

I'm waiting for Spyderco to do a new Native that incorporates all the features of the current Delica/Endura line. The increase in weight would be a minor trade-off to the increased stiffness of the knife.

Just my 0.02
