Spyderco Native5 Carbon Fiber CPM 110V (C41CFP5): Coming in August 2014!

Pre-ordered mine on 04/10/2013.It was supposed to be a production model,but the decision was not set in stone if my memory serves me......It looks like it's going to be a sprint now. It's nice to hear that the release is going to be in the near future.It will be a highly sought after version of the Native 5, but will cost more than the N5 forum knife.

MSRP of the G-10/S110V version was $220. Based on a couple other models, I'm guessing CF will add around $70 to that. That would put MSRP at about $290, and average street price around $175.
 
I've checked the MSRP of the Native5 CF/S110V (C41CFP5) at BladeHQ, GP Knives and National Knives and it says $319.95, $320 and $329.95 respectively.

I, like majority who may be reading this thread, need one of these. Any tips on where to put an order in for this beauty? I'm new to this brand but In the last few months I have acquired a salt and a native and would like to ramp up to this. Something about the native design has me hooked.

Have you had your hands on a Chaparral? It's like a fancy mini-Native.
 
Adamg01, no I had never paid attention to the Chaparral but I will now, nice looking knife and I appreciate the fine tip. I'll do some shopping around for this one.
 
I picked-up my knife today at post office. I am stunned. The knife is amazing. It looks like Forum Native and Cf will fight for the place in my pocket.
Or may be I should carry both? Does anybody carry two of the same knives at the same time? Or this is too crazy even for knifenut? :eek:

I believe it is a run of 800.There should be another batch hitting dealers in the near future is my best gestimate.....800 could go rather quickly, but is a decent sized sprint.Keep your ears on and eyes peeled if you want one.........
 
They've been going for anywhere from $178.55 to $234.00 (except for BBS selling for $319.95)!

I'm sure there'll be more showing up within the next few weeks. I've never known KnifeWorks not to come through on a preorder.

The second batch has hit dealers.I would not rely on KC for a pre-order unless it was from April 2013 when they had mispriced the knife on their site..KC seems to count their chickens before they hatch from my experiences placing pre-orders with them.My second knife I pre-ordered back in April 2013 arrived today.....It was not from KC.
