Spyderco Nirvana

No internal stop pin. If you look closely at pictures of the Nirvana you can see where the ends of the stop pin are.

I did see it on the Rassenti piece but were harder to pick out on the Spyderco version. I do see it now and happy it's not an internal stop.

Nice vote of confidence for the facility. I'm sure it is worth it.

That's a lot of money for me. I'd rather get the M&P Shield I've been eyeing and be happy with me "lesser":p Spydercos. GB2 on deck.

It is hard to see in a lot of the photos, and I am curious about how Spyderco or Mr Rassenti affix the stop pin. Here is a picture highlighting the stop pin placement for anyone else that was wondering.

This knife is certainly breaking new ground for Spyderco. Very impressive. But I will likely never buy one for two reasons, price and grind.

Price I can understand based on the materials and engineering, but what I cannot understand is why would a designer of a light use cutting tool explicitly choose much reduced cutting ability by specifying a saber grind on a high wear steel like S90V ?

I'm with you 100% on this. Not sure if I would have bought one but I completely wrote the knife off once I saw the grind. It has nice lines and will sell well and make lots of folks happy but that blade's not for me.

The Nirvana is the knife I'm most eagerly awaiting this year. With the KW Military S90V right behind it.

This knife is gorgeous, and I can't wait to handle one in person. My one criticism is that the pocket clip is so standard. I'm sure it is very functional and will carry the knife well, but in my opinion such a special knife deserves a special pocket clip.

I'm happy the clip is at least stonewashed and has a laser etched logo. A fancier clip would be nice, but I'm not out shape about it.

I m intrigued by this knife despite the price. But I wonder if the specs on the KW site are accurate.
The weight for this knife is listed as 11.1 oz. That , along with the price ,might be a deal breaker for me.
I don t like to carry folding knives in sheathes.

11.1 oz!
Now the crazy price is apparent, there's 2 in the box. :D

The Nirvana is one of the most beautiful knives I've ever laid eyes upon. Hopefully my local knife shop gets one in stock.

Can anyone tell me the actual size specification of the bearings themselves? I'm looking to possibly replace/upgrade them and can't find any info at all on the Google.
