On the show Lost one of the charaters has what looked like maybe a Ti Salas hanging from his vest. Did anyone else happen to see it

Suppose to be Harpy according to a thread in the General forum.

Never seen the show...does he carry more then one knife?

I only noticed the one I don't watch it all the time I'm not sure what all he is suppose to carry. The reason I thought it was a Ti Salsa was it looked like it had the cutout in the frame for the integral compression lock like on the Ti Salsa.

I've been watching the show and I have a feeling it's a knock-off. It looks like it has a triangular cutout in the handle, but it's hard to tell. He's so dorky with it clipped to his vest like that! The episode where he opens his suitcase full of knives was super ridiculous. It looked like a Frost Cutlery commercial. Lots of polished steel, spikes, knuckle protectors and Dymondwood. Blech!

I saw it. I'm pretty sure it was a genuine Harpy, though. I just happened to have my own in my hand (peeling a pomegranet,) so I was able to do a quick comparison. At least he had one good knife. . .

There was a Spydie on CSI last night (rerun on SPIKE). Looked like a Delica.

Terrible episode though...

Maybe he has a couploe of spydies...you think we could be that lucky?

Unfortunately, I missed the last episode of "Lost", which really sucks. :grumpy: On an earlier one though, the guy definitely had a Harpy on his vest.

Suprised to see a Spyderco show up on the food channel. "Good Eats" with Alton Brown - a large Police model seen in two episodes. Cool...

Alton's a pretty good guy. Great show! I think he's endorsing the Kershaw high-end chef's knifes right now, and you can see the damascus/laminated pattern if you watch his knife closely. Also, in his book he mentions that his favorite knife is a chef's knife made in the Japanese style by the "first American to learn traditional Japanese knifemaking techniques and make knives in Japan..." which I assume is a reference to Murray Carter, even though he's Canadian (I thought). Anyway, he seems to know his knives with these two good choices! :D

Saw one of the chefs on "American Casino" using what appears to be a serrated Endura last night. The banquet chef made up some first course samples and couldn't find the Executive Chef (who was at the shooting range) so he took it into a office where another chef used the Endura to cut check it and cut it.
