I just found out that Spyderco sent 200 orange Rescue jrs to the fire fighters at "Ground Zero". They were engraved "In memory of America's finest" 9-11-01.

Thank you Sal. You are a credit to the knife industry and America in general.

wow, that is totally fantastic!! us knife guys (and you Sal) really ARE good people ...

That's only part of the reason that Spydercos are the only production folders I buy now.

A class operation from the top on down.

Spyderco rocks!:D Does anyone have a picture of one of these? I would love to use that as wallpaper! This is just one reason why so many people love Spyderco.

Although I'm sure that it was not Sal's primary consideration, giving knives to fire fighters is a good way to remind people that knives are simple tools and not weapons that are automatic tools of evil. This is important, because box cutters are seen as the new "switchblades" and people are forgetting that if they simply look at the literal word, "boxcutter," it tells everybody what the tool was actually designed to do.

Helmets off to Sal.When a guy leaves his shift its common for him to tell the new shift "stay low" as they leave. This means be safe my brother. You crawl through a fire hence "low".

Stay low Sal.

Did you see it on the news or something?? Just wondering.
Spyderco is just too cool sometimes.

saw it on the other Spyderco forum. It should be on the news though.

God Bless America

Once again, Sal the maestro, demonstrates class.

Sal, thank you for your compassionate action.
