Spyderco or Emerson wave ?

Hey Guys...

Hey Fuller...

Have you ever tried a Waved Spyderco ??

It's much the same as having a Turbo in a sports car..

It's not really needed, but Boy is handy to have when you do... :)

When Spyderco released their Endura 3 with the wave, I stopped buy Emersons. I like backlocks much more than liners, so there was no longer an reason for me to purchase a Emerson.

Hey, STR, I love the work you did on my Spyderco R2 and have a question for you. Since I love Emerson's ergonomics, but not their blade grinds as much, would you be willing to say raise the grind significantly on a CQC 8, maybe even to full flat grind (my spyderco appreciation is showing through). This would be on a satin finish blade, and obviously all of the markings and finish would never be the same, but I would love to have the ergo's of the Emerson with a more efficient blade grind, and the wave could be opened up a little for better reliability in the process. I love your framelock conversion on your stubby Emerson, but I'm pretty sure my funds would make that cost prohibitive. Also, my experience with my CQC 7 (may the thief who stole it rot in hell!) and your praise for the Emerson liner lock make me feel good about the lockup, especially after you would have had a look at it. If this may be a possibility let me know and I will e-mail you about it. I know in some recent posts you have said you've been too busy to take on much new work.

Thanks, Mike
