Well I'm flying into Denver on wed the 28th for my sisters wedding.
I will have alot of time on my hands with nothing to do so I dicided that a trip to the Spyderco Outlet Store wouldnt hurt anything but my wallet. :p

What should I expect when I get there?
Where is it around the factory(wouldnt want to walk in on some top secret testing;))?
What should I expect to see there, 2nds or discontinued items or the same ol same ol?
How is the pricing, is it nice and cheap or at the full msrp?

Thanks!

I had no idea that there is an outlet! That's awesome! I'm going to Colorado this summer to visit one of my buddies. Where is it located? Thanks!

I think its right next to the factory in Golden Colorado.
Maybe we can meet there and duscuss the benefits of living in Ohio over North Carolina and North Carolina over Ohio. ;)

Our Outlet Store (SFO) is in our headquarters. We're all under one roof. You can expect to see all sorts of things there, current models, some older models, some modified models that are often one of a kind (thanks to Santa Fe Stoneworks). You can also see some really nice Randall models (SFO is an Authorized Dealer). Of particular interest would be our "Museum" displays. We have a few. You'll find our crew in SFO is known for their hospitality and patience (we encourage you to handle a lot of things). We hope you enjoy your time with us!

Well, I'm not 100% positive, but from what I remember from tales of fellow spyderknuts over at the Spydie Forum, I THINK they do not charge full homepage MSRP. But since I did not have the pleasure to visit the store YET, I will wait with you for somebody who already did the pilgrimage to chime in.

P.S.: I envy you....... so much :o

It was alittle hard to find the place but it was obvious when we did( says SPYDERCO above the building).

They had alot of steel there.
The staff member Jim Bartelt was very helpful, he was very patient while I asked to look at 100 some different folders.

Believe it or not they dont have every Spyderco currently produced in stock, Jim told me that every time they get the Rock Salt in stock it sells out in a day.
They have most though, about 5 times more then other knife shops I have seen.
Holding the Randalls were a treat, beutifful knives.
I mean the Randalls are freakin magical.
Bryd knives really suprised me, they were top notch quality and have excellent fit and finish.
The Super Hawk really drew me in, very very nice folder.
I thought I was going to buy a P'kal walking in but I ended up with a serial #'d foliage green Manix.
This thing is a tank(why, o why did they discontinue it), still getting used to it but I already love it.

Mine is serial # 186v, should I use it?

O yeah, the pricing is very good there on alot of items.
If you consider shipping for buying online you are actually paying less.

And dont even ask about prototypes, I'm tight lipped. ;)

I've lived in all 3 states. Several more too. I liked them all.
