Spyderco pacific salt rumors

I've had a black/black, pe Pacific Salt for a few years now and love it. It packs a nice, long cutting edge into a very lightweight package. It always rides in the side pocket of my board shorts when boating and for all of my water sport activities. I live in the midwest, but whenever I vacation where there's salt water, it always rides with me as well. Never let me down in any instance of use, never felt "under-knifed" with it, and never had a hint of rust anywhere. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

However, it's not a pry bar. Maybe I'm in the minority nowadays, but I only ever ask my OH folders to cut things. I carry a thin, alox SAK pioneer if I need a few extra tools for random tasks. Good luck with your decision.

My H1 dragonfly is my second most used knife. Absolutely love it, it needs to be sharpened a little more often but I don't mind because you can get it razor sharp in very little time. I really don't live or work near damp environments so I can carry most anything else but I love the little maintenance it require except for a quick sharpening

Give and take, just like with any steel. The trade off for the corrosion resistance is a lack of edge retention (plain edge). The same cannot be said for the serrated version of this piece though, which will retain sharpness for a really long time.

I once made the mistake of thinking that serrated H1 was dull. Got a nice painful slice on my fingertip for my trouble.
