Call this a user or a project. I just got this, no other scales than the black scales on it. It was sharpened before me, very dull. When I started to sharpen, I learned the bevel is very uneven. I put an hour into it until I called it good for now. Blade looks centered, your decision whether it is or isn't. The action is good, no issues or rubbing. The blade needs someone to finish the bevel and get a good edge on it. I usually will work a couple hours a weekend, this one probably needs a weekend or two. I don't rush things. Work you see is with a 50 & 120 grit metallic CBN. $Sold G&S shipped, comes with box.

It originally had micarta scales, i put the g10 on and sold the micarta. On the blade, around the washers, it is not etched, the liners are not etched. I put it back together with no blade play, no side to side, flicks and releases with no issues. Blue loctite once i got it where i thought it should be. There is no etching hindering the action.

I tried to get it to 18 degrees, i was just now thinking you could set a micro bevel, say 20 degrees or 22, get a good edge on it. I did not think of that when i was working on it.

If you want to send an invoice or your pp info I’ll get you some money .
