I did carry it for about two weeks around work. Did not seem sharp when I got it so I did run it over the fine rods on my Sharp Maker. Some time wispy marks on one side of the blade, either from use or my sharpening. The rest of the blade looks great. Some small marks on butt end of handle from getting bumped around on my shelf. Original box included.
