Spyderco Para III edge question

I assume your friend did buy this from an authorized, trustworthy dealer, and not off eBay, Amazon, or other site where he might have received a Chinese counterfeit?
1000%. The knife is real, authentic, beautiful; just an edge drives him crazy.

If you don't have the "right" equipment/skills, I'd just send it to Spyderco for resharpening which they'll do for $25 (including return shipping), if it's a genuine Para3. They might even replace the blade for free if they think that it's justified.

On the other hand, if it's a fake, some companies will seize the knife and not return it. So, if there's any doubt about the authenticity of the knife, you should call and ask Spyderco what their policy is about this.
no, real authentic for sure. Just one hour on Wicked Edge and all good now :-)

Any Para model that came from the factory with a 22dps bevel on either side I would be interested in seeing a picture of, as that is pretty hard to believe ...

If actually a reality, would suggest confirming status of primary bevels before reprofiling secondary bevels.
