Spyderco Para-Military is this defective

All productions will have a little irregularity, though the Seiki City Japan spydercos seem to me, more perfect

No need for more pictures vinny. Here's the scoop, this happens with all production knives, save perhaps the very small super high end production companies like Chris Reeve Knives and William henry, of course, those cost around 3x what your paramilitary did. Perfect edges are hard to come by, spyderco is among the best, but they can't carefully inspect every edge with a magnifier.

Learn how to sharpen your own knives, unless I can see discoloration indicating that the blade was overheated during sharpening I don't consider even the dullest edge a factory defect. Annoying perhaps, but not a defect.

Those are great pics, Vinny!

It looks like there's just a little burr on your blade. It should sharpen out easily.

I got a new Sebenza a few months ago that had a tiny burr on the edge. Unfortunately, it can happen with the more expensive knives too.
