Spyderco Para Military ?

My ideal carry has a 3" blade and is about 4" closed. The Para is too big for me to carry comfortably. However, it's a very good knife, very well buildt. I like it a lot, but would have liked it more with a smaller handle, and that's the only negative I found with this knife. I have the D2 version and use it regularly in tasks around the house. It always performs outstandingly, but I'm really looking for the Para II, out sometime this year.

I love mine, and it sees lots of pocket time. The handle is extremely comfortable, despite how thin it is, and the spyder hole is nice and big (it's cold here now, so I'm wearing gloves outside at work, and it's still easy to open, close, and use). The compression lock is great, too: easy to use, and very secure.

For you guys who found the handle uncomfortable, do you prefer to grip with the index finger in the choil, or behind it?
