I have 2 Para 2's and carry them more than any of my other folding knives. Utterly awesome...when you can find one to buy.
I also have a Manix 2 XL and its the folder I carry if I think there's hard use coming on.
As much as I am a Para2 fan, in answer to your question if I hold a Para2 in one hand and the Manix XL in the other, its the Manix that looks and feels like the clear choice if your really going to have at it with something.

I actually think the Benchmade 710 offers more knife than any of those you mentioned (OP). For the very duties you described I lucked into a used Emerson CQC-10 well down into (or below) that price range and find it near ideal for pretty tough use. I always have it on me somewhere when in my woods.
