Just made the commitment and pre-ordered an all black Spyderco PM2 from KnifeCenter. It's my first Spyderco and I can't wait to get it. Anyone out there have any thoughts or words of wisdom to share? Any custom scales or other custom options to consider? Would love to see pics of your PM2's if you feel like sharing

Given all the material on Spyderco Paramilitary 2's you won't have a hard time searching this forum for pics/scales/words of wisdom etc with regard to the PM2. Lets just say you've ordered one of Spyderco's finest folders, if not one of the finest production folders ever made (particularly when it comes to ergonomics).

Good for you. I love my Para. It has great steel, G10, and is light, strong and the perfect size. (for me)

Plus, it is made 20 minutes from my home, so that is cool.

yeah there is a reason you had to preorder it even though it is a regular production knife that has been out for years. It is just an excellent overall knife.

You won't regret it. I just got mine a couple of weeks ago. Didn't think anything would ever replace the Sage 1 in my pocket but the Para 2 has. It took me a couple of days to warm up to the compression lock but now I love it.

It's one sweet blade.

Nice! Great pics! I know there are a lot of PM2 threads already but it's a blast to get new ones going :)

BTW, love your name. I'm a guy who is a snob to USA made steel but no particular knife maker...I've got a great benchmade mini grip, bought the PM2 because it is US made steel, have an Ontario Blackbird, A Cold Steel Master Hunter Carbon V and a few Kabar/ESEE Kneck knives...quality USA made knives is my criteria!!

I just got mine in the mail last week (1st spidy too)... trouble is... im just not lovin it like I thought I would.... Picture yourself being left handed... now, picture yourself trying to close the blade one handed... it just aint happening:grumpy:... Luckily though they make a Military for lefties

I would think the Para 2 would be fairly easy to close left handed???

Use your thumb and pinch the comp lock?

Great knife! I Love all of mine, the variations with black G10 are my favorite though. The knife feels perfect in the hand and the pocket!
