Spyderco P'Kal (collaboration model with Shivworks)

GREAT REVIEW!!!!!!! I've Handled the Spyderco Version and actually borrowed a friends in a Swap for a week. It's Technical perfection for it's intended purpose.

But, I actually own 2 of Mr. Rindali's Fixed Models. They're small enough to not notice. My state allows for CCW of Smaller FBs. NOTE: It appears to me that the Spyderco Version has the EXACT dimensions and the Rindali. Only that when someone first looks at the Rindali FB it appears to be a tanto with the edge on the wrong side. Then you explain to them what it's for and a non knife person or non Martial artist will be like "My goodness that awful". MA and Knife folks really appreciate it's design.

So Needles to say I switched back with my friend and no longer have to Spyderco model.

But I EDC the Rindali model. Witch got me to looking at his website. Some of the most beautiful knives on the planet. Purpose driven designs.

You Rock Mr. Rindali.

Impressive that Spyderco makes such a specialized knife. But I wonder how many people would know how to use one for SD much less ever use one for SD.

A little bit of an old thread so excuse the resurrection here, but I'm in the market.

For those of you that have this knife could you speak a little more on using it as an EDC? I have previously had the Spyderco Delica Wave and loved it....... errr I loved the wave feature for EDC, but felt the blade needed a flat ground and higher quality steel to improve slicing.

It's really not the knife for EDC. It's a dedicated self defense folder. Great for edge in reverse or edge up forward - the handle is shaped for such. Many better EDC Spyderco knives.

Ya, I hear you, just none with the wave and flat ground.
